SE WI SCTP Trap Conference Results - Week One

The third season of the SE WI SCTP Youth Trapshooting Conference got underway this week. The conference has grown to twelve teams for 2012 with the expansion of Muskego, Jefferson, Oconomowoc and Cudahy High Schools who have all added clay target programs this season. The teams square-off in weekly head-to-head meets with the young athletes sorted by school grade groups who participate by shooting at one round of 25 targets. The top five scores from each team are then used to calculate the team's weekly score. The conference will last ten weeks and will culminate with the Conference Shoot on June 8th & 9th at the Waukesha Gun Club.

The Burlington Demons Shooting team kicked-off the 2012 conference schedule with a perfect performance in a victory over Waterford.  The Demons were led by five underclassmen; Christian Jensen, Cody Schilz, Cody Joerndt, Myles Walker and Jordan Hintz who all broke 25 of possible 25 targets. The perfect score was the first ever in the three year history of the conference.

The Panthers of Wilmot High School also posted a big score defeating Milwaukee Marquette who also shot well 122 to 118. Wilmot was lead by Joseph Asleson and Ryan Lipstreuer who posted 25 each.

Westosha Central snuck past Union Grove 114 to 111. Intermediate (grades 5-8) shooter Eddie Korando carded a perfect score for Central.

Racine Lutheran spoiled conference newcomer Muskego?s first ever conference meet 106 to 99.

The closest match of the week saw the Packers of Cudahy High narrowly sneak past Lake Geneva Badger 103-102.

Oconomowoc had a virtual match against the average score of of the other Varsity teams...... falling short of the conference average of 111.

Winners in Junior Varsity this week were Jefferson, Burlington, Wilmot, Westosha Central & Racine Lutheran. Jefferson?s Kevin Krause shot the lone 25 in JV this week.
