Chippewa Flowage Fishing report 9.16.11

Walleye:
A few walleyes are being caught.  Mostly on nitecrawlers but they've got to be getting close to going over to minnows--especially after this week.

Muskie:
Muskie action is ok--still more on surface baits and bucktails, but I
expect them to start looking at other things soon.

Crappie:
Bog fishing has come back--the Gulp 1 minnows have really been good.  No schooling yet--still a little early.

Panfish:
Bluegill fishing is generally still pretty good.  The worm family is
still best.

Bass:

Not too much word lately.  I'm not sure if that's because business is
slowing down or because the cooler temps are having an impact.

Weather report

Chilly!!!!  50's on Friday, 60's on Sat and Sunday with a chance of rain on Sunday.  They're talking 20's tonight.  OUCH!!!

Water temperature

Still around 70 but that's going to drop this weekend.

Water level

1311.2--not too bad yet.
