Chippewa Flowage Fishing report 9.9.11

Weather report

Really nice:  dry, sunny and temps in the mid to upper 70's.

Water temperature

Generally 70, but you can probably find some upper 60's, especially in the moening.

Water level

Still ok but still a slow trickle down--1311.4.

Musky Hunt

This weekend is the 2011 Musky Hunt so you may see a bunch of extra musky fishermen running around the lake.

Walleye:
Some being caught -- still tough--  still on crawlers.

Muskie:
Fair activity--bucktails and surface baits--as the water cools look for more glide baits.

Crappie:
Still crib activity on minnows and Gulp.

Panfish:
Wawies, worms and crawlers.  Better ones are still deeper.

Bass:
Haven't heard much about the largemouth fishing but the smallmouth
fishing is still decent.  Crawlers are best--small spinnerbaits have
also been good.
