A Limit of Woodcock for ZoeyIt never fails that while hunting pheasants at the local public hunting grounds I happen onto woodcock. Of course the only shells I have along are pheasant loads and I have to pass on my favorite bird.
This time it was different, I remembered to bring woodcock loads with me and I had a hunt to remember. We moved scores of birds and had our limit in short time. I went back to the same spot the next day and not a bird was found, the flight had moved on.
