Chippewa Flowage fishing report - Thursday, May 20, 2010

Walleye:
Walleye action sounds a little spotty.  Most of the fish I'm hearing
about are coming out of deep water on minnows.

Northern:
Northern fishing is still really good on big minnows in the weeds on the west side.

Crappie:
The crappie are in the shallows and hitting just about everything.
Minnows are tough to beat but a lot of small plastics are also being
used, along with flu- flu types of jigs.

Panfish:
The bluegill are pretty shallow also.  Waxies seem to be the bait of
choice.

Weather report

Cooler with a chance of rain on Fri with sunny and warm on the
weekend--almost hot on Sunday.

Water level

The lake is slowly coming up a little, but at least it's less than two
feet down now.

Water temp

The water in a lot of areas is upper 60's and I've even heard of a
couple of 70's.

FHNB

This weekend is the Fishing Has No Boundaries event.
