Explore Minnesota Birding Report Update as of Tuesday, May 29th,

A WHITE-FACED IBIS was seen by Paul Johnson at the Big Blue Stem Pond at Sherburne National Wildlife Refuge in Sherbune County on May 26th. Big Blue Stem Pond is at the 2-1/2 Mile Marker of Wildlife Drive.

A second year CALIFORNIA GULL was on the Minnesota side of the Superior entry at Park Point in Duluth on May 27th. There was also a LITTLE GULL on the Point at the 12th Street access on the 27th.

A YELLOW-BREASTED CHAT was found by Michael Perrone on May 27th at the Black Dog Lake Natural Area in Dakota County, roughly one-half of a mile from the trailhead near the kiosk.

And last, a LAZULI BUNTING made a brief appearance at a bird bath in Monticello, in Wright County, on May 25th, however the bird has not been seen since. If it does return, this report will be updated with additional information.
