Chippewa Flowage Fishing report 9.30.11

Weather report

Sounds like a nice weekend coming up.  Thursday sounds awful--wet and windy--but the weekend sounds sunny and dry and in the upper 50's.

Water temperature

Pretty much still in the upper 50's.

Water level

1310.7--still a little over two feet down.

Fall colors

Getting nice.  Not peak yet, but getting nice.

Muskie tournament

This weekend is the Muskies Inc Fall Tournament.  Fri, Sat and Sunday morning.

Walleye:
Not much of a change--still tough--minnows seem to be best.

Muskie:
That in between water temperature still has them looking at a lot of
differeent lures.  Sucker action seems to be picking up.

Crappie:
Still primarily on the cribs on minnows and Gulp but now I'm beginning to hear about a little more Moore's Bay activity--not real heavy yet but getting there.
