http://www.anglersallwisconsin.com Reports: The fishing continues to be good on both the big blue Lake Superior and the Inland Lakes. Bass fishing on the big lake has been great on flies. Trolling for Trout and Salmon has been good in the Shallows and Deep Water and all the way out to Outer Island. For trolling you should start early in the morning on the first drops then working to deeper water as the sun gets higher in the sky. Most Anglers are using stickbaits, spoons, bait flies and spin-n-glows. Fish have been caught in 20 feet of water to 100 feet of water depending on water temps that given day. There has been Northern activity along the Ashland Shoreline. Anglers are having good luck on the Inlands with Bass, Northern and Pan Fish all biting. The Bass and Pan Fish are very active. Anglers are having good luck fishing for Smallies in the deeper water near the tip of Long Island, the Rock Pile and the back of the Breakwall. Inland Fishing has been good with a lot of fish in 10 to 15 feet of water…You might have good luck in shady areas and around docks on the shoreline.

http://riverrockinn.net Reports: The recent cold fronts & cooler evenings has slowed fishing down somewhat, but expect it to improve as it becomes stable. Walleyes are being caught on the deeper edges of the weed beds at the head of the bay in the evenings. Limits of Whitefish and an occasional trout are being caught off of the Washburn shoreline vertical jigging spoons in 30-50 FOW. Smallmouth bass fishing has been good this past week with most anglers now finding them out in the deeper weedbeds . Lake trout and Salmon fishing has been really good this past week. Near shore trolling along the Islands in 25-50 FOW with downriggers and spoons is still producing some great fishing. Outer Island, Cat Island and the out lying reefs are all producing some large Lakers on downriggers with Flashers, Spin and glows, Howie Flies and Spoons in 100-175 FOW. Musky activity on the area’s Inland Lakes has slowed down some with recent cold fronts and cooler temperatures. Topwater baits at dawn and dusk have been producing some fish, along with casting bucktails and Jerkbaits adjacent to the deeper weed edges during the day. Good luck fishing and tight lines to all !

The North Wisconsin Rod and Gun Club, in conjunction with the Ashland Chamber of Commerce, will host the inaugural, first ever Bass Fishing Tournament on Chequamegon Bay in Ashland, WI on September 13th, 14th and 15th, 2013. This tournament is open to all anglers. The waters of Chequamegon Bay, by Ashland, are considered one of the premier Small Mouth Bass fisheries in the Midwest. This will be the first time that anglers have the chance to pit their abilities against other anglers, with a prize purse of $10,000, if there is at least a 50 boat registration. Entry fees are $100 an angler, with two anglers per boat. Any proceeds will be designated to be used to improve the boat landings in the area. This immediate “Catch and Release Tournament” will be headquartered at the Ashland Marina, with tournament times on Saturday, September 14th from 7am to 3pm and on Sunday, September 15th from 7am to 2pm.
