ACTION ALERT UPDATE: Bear BillThe 2009 Wisconsin Bear Bill, AB 371, has passed the State Assembly on a unanimous vote and is now ready for a vote in the State Senate.
The Bear Bill will make several important changes for our sport:
1 Allow a try it for free? weekend for bear dog training in August
2 Raises the age eligibility for the fee exemption from 12 to 16
3 Allows for a back up shooter
4 Allows continued Class B participation in the hunting season, even after a harvest tag is filled
Please call your legislators now to tell them of your support. Your message is simple My name is Susie Jones from Park Falls. I am a bear hunter and I support AB 371, the Bear Bill, and would hope that Senator Smith would support it too.?
