Boating Safety and Clean Water Grants AvailableBoatUS Foundation awards local volunteer organizations awards up to $4,000 for the promotion of safe and clean boating education. The Foundation is looking for creative and innovative projects that promote safe boating on your local waterway. Topics can range from PSAs on the effects of boating under the influence to signs at boat ramps telling users about invasive species in the area and how to prevent them from spreading.

To print and laminate 10,000 Madison Lakes Quick Reference Cards with emergency contact information and local & state regulations.
2002 - U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary, Flotilla 4-4, Sheboygan
To advertise and host a Safety Weekend during National Safe Boating Week.
2001 - Green Bay Sail & Power Squadron, Green Bay
To host a boating safety event with the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary Department of Natural Resources local fire department.
2000 - Boys' & Girls' Brigade Association, Neenah
To erect twelve signs and print 5,000 leaflets to increase awareness of local boating safety issues
1999 - Milwaukee Power Squadron, Muskego
Distribute 2,500 brochures to Lake Michigan boaters to provide them with navigational information.
