The 2009 Wisconsin Bear Bill, AB 371, is ready for a vote in the State Assembly. Now is the time to contact key legislators to express your support!
The Bear Bill will make several important changes for our sport:
1 Eliminate Back Tags for Class B license holders
2 Allow a try it for free weekend for bear dog training in August
3 Raises the age eligibility for the fee exemption from 12 to 16
4 Allows for a back up shooter
5 Allows continued Class B participation in the hunting season, even after a harvest tag is filled
Please call your legislators now to tell them of your support. Your message is simple My name is Susie Jones from Park Falls. I am a bear hunter and I support AB 371, the Bear Bill, and would hope that Rep. Smith would support it too.
