UPDATE AS OF MONDAY 1/30/12

Hello Ice Anglers!

PLEASE READ CAREFULLY!

There have been a lot of questions about the Lake-Link Ice Fishing Jamboree this weekend and ice conditions on Lake Delavan. We had conversation today with Dave Duwe (of Dave Duwe Guide Service) and he informs us that there is plenty of fishable ice. He said there were several hundred anglers out fishing today (Monday 1/30). The main bays that people are fishing on are reporting up to 8 inches of ice. The panfish bite has been good in 4-5 FOW in Highlands Bay and Viewcrest Bay and some pike were being caught. People are also fishing the harbor at Lake Lawn Resort and out from the boat landing by the Township Park catching pike and bluegills.

If you are planning on fishing DO NOT VENTURE OUT TO THE MIDDLE BASIN OF THE LAKE WHERE NO ONE IS FISHING. THE MIDDLE OF THE LAKE MAY NOT BE SAFE. You will see where people are fishing so stick to those areas. Do not venture out for deep water perch fishing.

IF ICE CONDITIONS DO DECLINE, the worst case scenario is that we will open fishing up to other area lakes.

We will send out email updates to all attendees later in the week.

UPDATE AS OF WEDNESDAY 2/1/12 Lake-Link Ice Fishing Jamboree!

UPDATE AS OF WEDNESDAY 2/1/12

PLEASE READ CAREFULLY!

Is the Lake-Link Ice Fishing Jamboree event cancelled?
THE EVENT ITSELF IS NOT CANCELLED. Due to the warm weather and ice conditions THE ONLY PORTION WE ARE NOT HAVING IS THE FISHING CONTEST PORTION. If you want to fish can fish Lake Delavan or any other area body of water at your own discretion. Dinner and prize drawings are still at the same times (food served from 2:30PM-5:00PM, prizes start at 4:00PM). As of today (2/1/12) it has been reported that there are numbers of anglers fishing in all the main bays of the lake. As a business we cannot promote a fishing contest if there are unsafe areas on the lake; mainly the middle of the lake. We do not have any control on where people go on the ice and it is not worth someone getting hurt for a $50 cash prize. Anyway, all the prizes are drawn during dinner! We suggest contacting local bait/sport shops for lake and area fishing info or check out the Delavan Lake Fishing Report Board to see what is happening.

Do you have to be present to win a prize?
Yes. You must be present to win prizes. We currently have more than $20,000 in prizes to hand out. Odds are good for winning a prize! Click here for the current prize list.

I am registered but what about picking up my ticket?
If you have registered you do not need to pick up your ticket until you are ready to eat. There will be a table set up at Lake Lawn Resort starting around 12PM with your ticket waiting for you. You need your ticket for food and prizes. We will be sending out an itinerary update to all attendees prior to the event.

What if I want to cancel?
You need to let us know ASAP if you have already registered and wish to cancel. We cannot offer refunds after Thursday as we will have already made dinner commitments for you.

I have not yet registered but I would still like to be part of the fun.
Register online at www.lake-link.com/ice/signup/ ASAP! We need to get a head count for food.

What else is there to do at Lake-Lawn Resort and the area?
Friday night they offer a seafood feast buffet as well as their regular menu and DJ/Karaoke for entertainment. Saturday night there is live music, "Big Al Wetzel and Friends" who play a diverse blend of contemporary music. There is an indoor pool for the family, as well as a co-ed hot tub. Winterfest is also going on this weekend in Lake Geneva. Visit www.lakegenevawi.com/ for more info.

For more info or to register go to www.lake-link.com/ice/. If you need to contact us click here to email us or call us at 262.264.0402.
