WESTERN U.P. TRAIL REPORT - 12/23/2011
We had gotten alittle bit of snow yesterday...variable amounts from 1" to 3" but every little bit helps at this point. We have snow in the forecast for today and tonight with low temps in the teens. This will help to firm up our wet spots.
GOGEBIC RANGE TRAIL AUTHORITY Reports the groomers will not go out until we receive more snow. Trails 2&8 were groomed- conditions are poor to fair. Do expect rocks and wet areas. Trails 11N, 11S and 160 are not being groomed at this time. We need more snow and colder weather to firm up the wet spots. Hang in there!!!!
GOGEBIC AREA GROOMERS Lake Gogebic groomers report all trails are groomed conditions are fair. Do expect some brown spot for the snow is thin...but all the wet spots are pretty well froze. The trails are signed, brushed and just waiting for more snow.
U.P.THUNDER RIDERS OF WATERSMEET will not go out until we get more snow.
Remeber it is early season riding with some wet spots, so use caution. As always have a happy and safe holiday!!!
