Saturday at Kennan Park - ATV pull - 2 p.m., bingo - 2 p.m. Mini-Rod pull - 5 p.m.; Oldies softball - 6 p.m., dance w/music by Spitfire-8-12 p.m., Grand March at 9 p.m., & concessions.
Sunday at Catawba ? ALS Memory Walk - 8 a.m. at Bethany Lutheran Church. New Hope Church service - 9 a.m. at park pavilion. Parade 10:30 a.m., following the parade: Concessions, barbecued chicken by Jump River Valley Historical Society, historic town hall open, horseshoe tourney - noon (signup is 10:30-11:30 a.m.), softball tournament, ATV Mud Run & Obstacle Course - 2 p.m. (registration is 12:30-1:30 p.m.), Logging contests - 12:30 p.m. (Wood splitting, crosscut saw, chain saw, saw peeling & powder puff peeling. Bring your own saw. Wood will be green popple.), kid's games (coin scramble at 1:30 p.m.), live music by Whirlwinds 12 - 4 p.m. at the park, Queen Coronation and raffle drawing 4 p.m.
