?   Kettle Moraine State Forest?Northern Unit, Campbellsport, (920) 533-8322 - Spring Symphony Night Hike. Nature awakens from its long winter slumber with a symphony of sound. Journey through the darkening spring woods to discover who are the members of the spring choir. This hike is most appropriate for adults and children over the age of 6 years. Zillmer Trail Area. 7:30-9 p.m.

?   Big Foot Beach State Park, Lake Geneva, (262) 248-2528 - Work Play Earth Day. The Friends of Wisconsin State Parks and the DNR are sponsoring the 2nd Annual Work Play Earth Day. Local Friends groups, DNR staff, and community members will be joining together for a series of volunteer work days at Wisconsin state parks and trails across the state. Volunteers will participate in a variety of activities from planting trees, to beach clean ups, to helping prepare campsites for the busy summer season. ?   Council Grounds State Park, Merrill, (715) 536-8773 - Spring Clean-Up Day. The Friends of Council Grounds State park are sponsoring a spring clean-up day to celebrate Earth Week. The Friends are looking for volunteers to help with raking and other various clean-up duties around the park. Meet at 8 a.m.
?   Harrington Beach State Park, Belgium, (262) 285-3015 . Work Play Earth Day. Harrington Beach State Park and the Friends of Harrington Beach will be participating in a state-wide Earth Day event from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Volunteers are being sought to help plant trees and shrubs in the new campground and other areas of the park. Other volunteer opportunities may be available depending on the number of volunteers. Please wear work shoes or boots, long pants and gloves. We ask that you bring your own shovels, if available. Individual or group efforts are welcome. Noon refreshments will be provided and vehicle admission will be waived for those volunteering. Please register no later than Wednesday, April 21. Join others for a morning of camaraderie and litter pick up. Youth and other groups are encouraged to participate. Bring your own gloves. Garbage bags will be provided. Call to register groups. Sponsored by Friends of the Kettle Moraine. Meet at the Forest Headquarters off County Highway G to get your road assignment and after cleaning up for snacks and refreshments. 8:30 a.m. - noon.
?   Kettle Moraine State Forest?Southern Unit, Eagle, (262) 594-6200 - Wildflower Walk. Wildflower Walks with Naturalist Ron Kurowski will be every Saturday from April 17 to June 5. Meet at the forest headquarters on Highway 59 at 10 a.m. Be prepared to carpool to the hike location. Wear appropriate footwear and clothing for the weather. Some sites may be muddy. The hike will last about 1.5 to 2 hours.
?   Kohler-Andrae State Park, Sheboygan, (920) 451-4088 - Work Play Earth Day. Kohler-Andrae is looking for volunteers to participate in a state-wide event celebrating Earth Day. Volunteers are needed to plant trees, install benches, remove invasive plants, stain picnic tables, clear pine needles and pick up litter. Volunteers should remember to wear work boots or shoes, long pants and gloves, and should bring their own shovel and rakes if available. Refreshments provided at noon. Vehicle admission fees waived for volunteers. Please call the park office by April 21 to register or for more details. 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
?   MacKenzie Environmental Center, Poynette, 608-635-8105 - Spring Cleaning. Pick a spring task: raking, debris pick up, trail work, window washing, etc. Rakes, loppers, clippers, gloves provided, or bring some of your own and put your name on them. Lunch will be provided and door prizes awarded. Meet at the main lodge. 9 a.m. - 2 p.m.
?   Mirror Lake State Park, Lake Delton, (608) 254-2333 - Work Play Earth Day. The Friends of Wisconsin State Parks and the DNR are sponsoring the 2nd Annual Work Play Earth Day. ?   Sandhill Wildlife Areas, Babcock, (715) 884-2437 - Friends of Sandhill Open House Day. Join the Friends of Sandhill volunteers for a day of celebrating Sandhill Wildlife Area and its rich history and ecology. The Friends will host an open house at the Sandhill Outdoor Skills Center. Bring family and explore the trails by foot or bike, learn about the educational programs offered through the skills center and talk to volunteers and staff. Refreshments served, and locally made crafts for sale! 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Wear comfortable walking shoes and other clothing appropriate for the weather, including a hat to block the sun. Sponsored by Friends of the La Crosse River State Trail. Meet in Rockland where the trail crosses Commercial Street (County Highway J). 1:30 p.m.

Children's program, with DNR Wildlife Educator Chris Cold. 6 p.m. Wildlife Ecology and Habitat Management. Chris Cold will describe and discuss the needs of wildlife and the principles and factors which limit wildlife populations?emphasizing native forest and wetland habitats. Some live Wisconsin wildlife will accompany his presentation. 7:30 p.m.
