National Pheasant Fest's Renewable Energy & Wildlife Habitat Forum
Presented by Alliant Energy

Madison, Wis. â February 3, 2009 The first-ever Renewable
Energy & Wildlife Habitat Forum presented by Alliant Energy will be
held at Pheasants Forever's (PF) National Pheasant Fest 2009 this
Saturday and Sunday at Exhibition Hall at the Alliant Energy Center.
The Forum will be highlighted by a roundtable discussion on Saturday
at 3 PM with leading experts from the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources, the U.S. Department of Agriculture and Alliant Energy participating. The Roundtable will be moderated by Dave Nomsen, PF's Vice President of Government Affairs.

The Renewable Energy & Wildlife Habitat Forum will examine the future of renewable energy and the opportunities for wildlife habitat. The Forum will include over a dozen seminars on topics including "Renewable Energy and Wildlife Habitat – The Potential," "Biofuels and Conservation Programs" and "Research on Switch Grass Establishment." The Renewable Energy & Wildlife Habitat Forum roundtable starts on
Saturday at 3 PM in Mendota Room 4 at Exhibition Hall at the Alliant
Energy Center. Roundtable participants include: Kim Zuhlke, Vice
President, New Energy Resources, Alliant Energy; Tom Melius, Regional Director, U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service; Toby Lloyd, USDA Farm Service Agency; Pat Leavenworth, Wisconsin State Conservationist, USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service; Bill Belden, President, Prairie Lands, LLC; Dave Jenkins, Director, Wisconsin Office of EnergyIndependence; Rod Nilsesteun, Secretary, Wisconsin Department of Agriculture; and Matt Frank, Secretary, Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources.
