Hunters can get sights, health checked
Hunters will be able to set their sights and check their hearts at the same time starting Saturday at the Dane County Law Enforcement Training Center.
The Sheriff's Office annual gun sight-in program begins Nov. 1 and runs daily to Nov. 14 from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at the training facility on Wisconsin 19 between Interstate 39/90/94 and Waunakee.
Hunters will also be able to get a health screening by Meriter Hospital staff from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Saturday and Sunday only, in an effort to reduce the number of health-related deaths, such as heart attacks, during the hunting season.
