Wisconsin Snowmobiling, Best Year Ever!

Wisconsin is having one of its best years ever for Snowmobiling! Snow has come to Wisconsin early this year and most trails are in excellent or good condition for riding. Wisconsin has over 200,000 registered snowmobiles and 25,000 miles of groomed trails that are maintained by local clubs and organizations throughout the state.

 In past years Wisconsin snowmobile riders have had to travel to neighboring states (UP Michigan and Minnesota) to satisfy their needs. This year is an exceptional year, some of the best snowmobiling in the World can be found in Wisconsin this year from the southern part of the state to the north.

 Wisconsin differs from the Western states and Canada in that its Snowmobile trail system is very extensive and diverse. All trails are mapped out and kept up to date every year as trails and permissions change. The trails are a mix of Public and private land access. Wisconsin trails are unique in the sense that most trails offer riders a good mix of many different types of riding, entertainment and lodging opportunities.

 If you were into challenging rides you could start in southern Wisconsin and ride to UP Michigan and on your way back you can take a completely different route. Lodging and Food stops would not be a problem, most trails in Wisconsin have many stopping points along the way. Wisconsin is blessed with many small towns, Hotels, Resorts and Pubs. The establishments that are along trails welcome Snowmobilers with open arms. Maps and info can be obtained along the way.

 The people that you meet at the many establishments along the way are worth the trip in itself!
