?   Peninsula State Park, Fish Creek, (920) 868-3258 - Nature Center Snowshoe 1-2 p.m. Meet at Nature Center. Winter tree identification featured on this short walk. If there is not enough snow, we will hike. Bring your own snowshoes.

?   Havenwoods State Forest, Milwaukee, (414) 527-0232 - Preschool Storytime: Evergreen Magic. Explore the magic of real evergreens and their importance to nature. We'll even decorate a tree just for the animals. This programs is for preschoolers, ages 3 ? 5, and their parents, grandparents, or other adult, not for day care centers or organizations. 9:30-10:30 a.m. No admission sticker required.
?   Peninsula State Park, Fish Creek, (920) 868-3258 - Snowy Stories by The Winter Queen 11 - 11:30 a.m. Nature Center. Especially for kids, the program features an icy visitor from the north. She?ll share ideas about snow, including a snowy owl story. Optional owl craft follows. Nature Center open 10 a.m - 12 p.m.

?   Peninsula State Park, Fish Creek, (920) 868-3258 - Camp Meenahga on Skis 10-10:30 a.m. Meet at Lot 3 (Skyline parking lot). Learn about the girls camp that once occupied this site by discovering features on the land that still remain. Participants will then have the option to ski the white loop (hilly) on their own.

?   Peninsula State Park, Fish Creek, (920) 868-3258 - New Year?s Eve Campfire 11 a.m. ? 12:30 p.m. Nature Center. Enjoy a few spooky stories (parents: all stories have a funny punch line at the end) then roast some ?Angels on Horseback? for lunch. Suggested donation for food $1/child and $2/adult. Inclement weather ? we?ll forego the campfire and conduct the program inside the Nature Center. Nature Center open 10 a.m. ? 2 p.m.

?   Blue Mound State Park, Blue Mounds, (608) 437-5711 - Candlelight Ski, Hike, and Snowshoe. Ski one and two mile lighted loops. Separate lighted trail for hikers, snowshoers, and leashed pets. Bonfire, straw bale warming shelter, free hot drinks and marshmallows for roasting. Hot food, baked goods, and commemorative shirts for sale. Sponsored by the Friends of Blue Mound State Park. 6-9 p.m.
