Steinhauer Trust Gallery: "The Majesty of Trees." Artist Nikki Coulombe's multimedia exploration focuses on the nature and beauty of trees. (May 1 - June 29)

Arboretum Longenecker Gardens Tour: ?Conifers? If you are confused about telling a spruce from a fir, join us on a walk through the Garden?s spectacular conifer collection. On this tour with Garden curator Dr. Edward Hasselkus, you will learn about ?garden-sized? conifers of many types.
June 5 - Saturday, 9 a.m.-noon
Arboretum Ecological Restoration Work Party: "Wingra Oak Savanna." Volunteer for restoration activities and learn about prairies and savannas. Tools and training are provided, and groups are welcome with advance notice. Meet at the gravel parking lot along Arbor Drive just off Monroe Street. June 6 - Sunday, 1-3 p.m.
Arboretum Walk: "Greene Prairie." Explore Greene Prairie's mosaic of grasses dotted with color from phlox, blue-eyed grass, yellow star grass and up to 30 other flowering species. Meet at the Grady Tract parking lot, located at the southeast corner of the Beltline and Seminole Highway intersection.
June 9 - Wednesday, 7-8:30 p.m.
Arboretum Longenecker Gardens Tour: "Shade Trees." Laura Wyatt, Urban Forest Council Liaison at the DNR, will lead the group through the Garden's extensive collection of larger trees.

Arboretum Walk: "Curtis Prairie." This exploration of Curtis Prairie and adjacent restorations features the first restored prairie in the world as it reaches 75 years.

Arboretum Native Plant Garden Tour: "Woodland, Savanna and Prairie Gardens." Celebrate the beginning of summer by visiting our woodland, savanna and prairie gardens. This tour provides an overview of the Wisconsin Native Plant Garden as well as inspiration and ideas for native plant gardening at home.

Arboretum Night Walk: "Solstice." Enjoy sunset on the longest day of the year while the naturalist points out items of interest that may not be apparent to the casual observer.

Arboretum Native Plant Garden Tour: "What's Blooming?" Find, compare and learn about flowers on native trees, shrubs and herbaceous plants -- and see what's new in our collection of plants native to southern Wisconsin.

Arboretum Walk: "Greene Prairie and the Grady Knolls." Greene Prairie was restored almost single-handedly by Henry Greene beginning in 1941. We will visit this amazing restoration effort and a nearby restored black oak savanna. Meet at the Grady Tract parking lot, located at the southeast corner of the Beltline and Seminole Highway intersection.
June 27 - Sunday, 12:30-4 p.m.
Arboretum Family Day: "Moth Madness." June family day at the Arboretum is a drop-in event where we will learn fun ways to identify insects while discovering how plants and animals depend on these six-legged creatures. To adopt a cecropia moth caterpillar to rear, bring two clear 2-liter plastic soda bottles (empty and clean) to make a rearing cage and go home with eggs and information. A naturalist-led hike takes place from 1:30-2:30 p.m.
