Only one grey wolf shot during Wisconsin 2007 deer hunt

Wisconsin deer hunters shot only one grey wolf this fall, down from nine a year ago.

The Department of Natural Resources says it’s probably because the federal government removed the wolf from the endangered species’ list in March.
