I know you're not looking for comments on this project, but I have to tell you how impressed I am with you skill.  I really enjoyed following the project and wish I had the ability to tackle such a detailed endeavor.  Great job!

Really enjoyed reading about your successful hunt with the self-made bow, arrow, etc.  Great looking deer.  Congrats!

Whitetail Deer / Camping in Nicolet Nat. Forest
« on: October 29, 2008, 03:46:27 PM »
Can anyone tell me if the camping facilities are open in Nicolet during gun deer season, etc.  I have a small RV and was thinking about going up that direction to scout and hopefully do some grouse hunting while I'm there.  I'm trying to find out if any of the campsites are situated within walking distance to public hunting access.  I don't want to have to break camp and drive to another spot if I can avoid it.  Thanks in advance for any information you might have on this subject.

General Discussion / Fish Finder Battery
« on: April 20, 2008, 07:58:52 PM »
This is probably a dumb one, but here goes:   I just bought a used fish finder (Humminbird) but I'm not sure what kind of battery to use.  The seller didn't know because it had belonged to his grandfather who recently passed away.  I think it would take a 12 volt but I'm not sure since this is my first fish finder.  Where would I buy a battery that would be appropriate.  I'm old school and never used anything but trial and error.  Mostly error so I thought I'd give this electronics thing a try.  Thanks in advance for your help.   NamVet66
