That is a hellava way to go ....................just so you know it is a Mule deer.

And that is just one of the problems with EAB , too many button heads get shot to earn a buck tag.........if you asked me buck fawns should not be allowed to earn a tag, as it is the main goal to harvest does not bucks.............I hunt the CWD zone and have had to abide by EAB rules on and off for a few years.......in the first 6 years I had no problem with it as I always kill a couple does in the early bow season.......this year however has been different, the mature doe numbers just aren't there any more......for the first time in almost a quarter century of hunting I counted almost twice the number of bucks than does on our land.........this you might say is a good problem to have.......until you consider to keep the deer numbers at a healthy huntable level year after year you need mature does to breed with these bucks.............I fear that the DNR is going to get their wish of eradication in the CWD zone if the EAB program is not stopped for at least a couple of years.

Very interesting info...............I wonder if the DNR would even consider looking at those figures? Doubtful as it goes against their agenda to kill as many deer as possible every season
