Chippewa Flowage fishing report 6.14.10
Walleye:
Cooler temps still have the walleye on minnows although people are
throwing a lot of Beetle Spins. That should tell us something.
Muskie:
Not much of a change--still more looking than hitting.
Northern:
Still reasonably active on big minnows with spinnerbait action being ok.
Crappie:
Haven't heard much about the crappie lately. That tells me that people are looking for them and they haven't gotten settled yet for the summer.
Panfish:
Bluegill fishing is still good on waxies but the cooler temps have
pushed them off the beds and have them in 5/6 ft right now waiting for some warmer temps to bring them back in.
Weather forecast
Scattered rain on Mon and Tues in the 60's--clearing and warming on Wed.
Water level
5 inches + of rain this past week has helped. The lake is about 1 1/2 ft down which is really pretty good.
Water temperature
Cooler weather and rain have dropped temps about 5 degrees. The lake is sitting at about 65 degrees right now.
Bass season
Don't forget that bass season opens this coming Sat the 19th.
