Two dogs, a hound and a beagle, were killed by wolves in separate incidents in January.  The hound, an 8-year old Running Walker Cross, was killed in Clark County while the beagle was depredated in Price County.  More details, including caution area maps, can be found on the DNR's gray wolf depredation webpage or by going to the DNR's website, dnr.wi.gov, and typing "dog depredation" in the search box.

On August 9, Wildlife Services confirmed that wolves killed a 4 year old Walker/Blue Tick hound. The attack occurred in the Town of Mercer, Iron County. More information and a caution area map are available on the gray wolf webpage.

On August 17, Wildlife Services confirmed that wolves killed an 11 year old Black and Tan bear hound. The attack occurred in the Town of Emery, Price County. More information and a caution area map are available on the gray wolf webpage.

On August 23, Wildlife Services confirmed that wolves killed a 7 year old Plott hound and injured three 2 year old Plott hounds and a 6 year old Plott hound during the same training incident.
