•   Kettle Moraine State Forest—Northern Unit, Campbellsport, (920) 533-8322 - Nature Storytime: Those Sly Foxes. If you are lucky, you may catch a glimpse of a shy, sly fox. Investigate the world of these secretive animals. This hour of nature fun awaits 3- to 6- year-olds with accompanying adults. Ice Age Visitor Center. 9:30-10:30 a.m.

•   Havenwoods State Forest, Milwaukee, (414) 527-0232 - Family Program: Recycled Art. One person’s garbage is another person’s treasure. Join us as we create treasures from everyday household “extras.” Environmental Awareness Center. 10:30 a.m. - noon. No admission sticker required.
•   Richard Bong State Recreation Area, Kansasville, (262) 878-5600 - Pouch Making. Make a beautiful and unique leather pouch which you will decorate with fur and beads. Class size is limited; please call to pre-register and pre-pay the $5 fee. Most suitable for ages 12 and up. Visitor Center. 9-11 a.m.

Gray squirrels, red squirrels, fox squirrels, squirrels in the park, squirrels at your bird feeder! They’re everywhere. Squirrels are fun to watch and learn about. Environmental Awareness Center. 9:30-10:30 a.m. No admission sticker required.

•   Kettle Moraine State Forest—Northern Unit, Campbellsport, (920) 533-8322 - An Evening with Nature: Creating Winter Wreaths. Using a variety of natural materials, we will create two beautiful wreaths that will enhance your home's winter decor. To register for a session, call by November 6. This program is best for adults and youth over the age of 12 years. Ice Age Visitor Center. 6:30-9 p.m.

•   Havenwoods State Forest, Milwaukee, (414) 527-0232 - Discovery Saturday: Decorate a Tree for Wildlife. Food becomes scarce for some wildlife this time of year. Spend the morning making garlands from pretzels, popcorn, peanuts, and bread shapes. Then find a tree outside to decorate. Environmental Awareness Center. 9 a.m. - noon. No admission sticker required.
•   Kettle Moraine State Forest—Northern Unit, Campbellsport, (920) 533-8322 - Exploring Nature: Whitetails. Autumn is a great time of year to look for signs of whitetail deer. We will explore a deer's territory to uncover the secrets of these magnificent animals. This program is best for families/groups with children between the ages of 5 and 12 years. Ice Age Visitor Center. 9:30-11 a.m.
•   Richard Bong State Recreation Area, Kansasville, (262) 878-5600 - Search for Short-Eared Owls. We are lucky to have the rare short-eared owls visit the park in winter. Join us to discover more about these vanishing grassland predators. We also will take a short drive in search of them. Meet at Visitor Center and be prepared to drive. 3:30-4:30 p.m. Oh Deer! Become a deer for a day! Check out deer adaptations and biology. Outside, we'll search for deer sign and play a fun game to discover how a deer survives. Visitor Center. 11 a.m.
