NRB Advisory Committee Online Public Comment Survey Extended until Midnight Friday July 31, 2009 Due to strong public interest and continuing media coverage, the Natural Resources Board (NRB) Advisory Committee has decided to continue collecting online public comments through Friday July 31, 2009. However, the Committee will begin using reviewing the responses provided by noon Tuesday July 28, 2009. Response data will be updated daily for the NRB Advisory Committee until Friday midnight.
The public comment survey on alternative deer herd control seasons and incentives can be accessed via the link
www.wiherdcontrol.org along with reference materials assembled by the NRB Advisory Committee for its work.
A summary of the overall responses will be posted to the website for public review by Sunday August 30th, 2009.
The NRB Advisory Committee may also begin making use of brief 2 to 5 question 48 hour ?snap-surveys? the week of August 3, 2009 to gauge public support of specific aspects of its final recommendations. To be notified if and when those are made available, register your email address at the
www.wiherdcontrol.org website. If these are used, links will also be provided on the website. The purpose of those surveys would be to gather public comments on specific areas of the NRB Advisory Committee?s recommendations.
The level of public interest is greatly appreciated by the NRB Advisory Committee which began work June 17, 2009 and must complete its report by August 12, 2009. The relatively brief duration of the online public comment surveys reflects the short timeline available for this special advisory volunteer Committee to be assembled in June 2009 and to complete its report in time for the NRB?s meeting in August.
