Chippewa Flowage fishing report 8.12.10

Weather report

A mixed bag coming.  Hot through Friday and then cooling off for the
weekend.  Sounds like Friday could have some noisy weather coming
through.

Water level

Not sure!!! I couldn't find an update--maybe they got washed away.  All
I can tell you is the lake is high.

Water temperature

Pretty warm--in the upper 70's.

Tournaments

Don't forget: the big PMTT muskie tournament is on the Flowage this
weekend.  And I'm told that there's also a bass tournament being held (though not confirmed).

Walleye:

A few stray walleye are being caught in deeper water on crawlers and leechs.

Muskie:

Muskie action seems a little flat.  I think we need a weather change.

Crappie:
Crappie fishing is still pretty good on minnows and Gulp products.  Crib action sounds best, although bogs are still producing.

Panfish:

Bluegill fishing is generally best in the 8-12 ft brush and weeds.

Bass:
Bass seem kind of scattered.  Spinnerbaits and Senkos are doing ok.
