Chippewa Flowage fishing report 7.8.10

Walleye:
Walleye fishing is still a little tricky.  There's still a lot of food out there.  Selling more crawlers and leechs lately--try them in the deep brush.

Muskie:
Muskies sound like they're moving around on green bladed bucktails and surface baits on the edges of the bars.

Crappie:
Good crappie fishing on the bogs that sit over deeper water in the evening on minnows.

Panfish:
Good bluegill fishing on worms and waxies. Seems to be a mixed bag on depth.

Bass:
Smallmouth fishing heating up on the east side on crawlers and plastics in the brushy and stumpy areas.

Weather report

Warm--in the mid 80's this weekend--with a chance of rain.

Water level

Current level is 1312.6.  If it gets much higher you can boat all the way to Eau Claire.

Water temp

Up to about 75 deg.
