Wisconsin Cross Country Ski report  2.25.10

Cross-country ski trails across most of the state remain in good to excellent condition, though conditions have been soft in many areas with the light powdery snow and warmer temperatures.  American Birkebeiner officials are reporting their trail is in excellent condition for the 37th annual running of America?s largest cross-country ski race this Saturday from Cable to Hayward.  A record number of more than 8,300 skiers have registered for the event, with officials closing registration more than three weeks in advance of the race for the first time.
