Chippewa Flowage fishing report 8.9.10

Weather report

Sounds like a chance of scattered rain every day with temps in the low 80's.

Water level

Still holding at 1312.6 but wait a couple of days.  Depending on where you were yesterday we had between 3 1/2 and 5 inches of rain!

Water temp

Water temps are holding in the upper 70's.

Walleye:

Walleye are still on the tough side.  Leechs and crawlers are best but since it's August it looks like leechs will be coming to an end pretty soon.

Muskie:

Muskie are a little quiet--still surface baits and bucktails.

Crappie:

Crappie fishing is still pretty good.  Bog edges are still producing but
now it sounds like the cribs are a little better.

Panfish:

I haven't had many bluegill reports lately but I'm going through a lot
of worms so the kids must be having fun.

Bass:
Bass fishing sounds ok. Spinnerbaits and plastic frogs have been good plus people seem to like Senko worms.
