Chippewa Flowage fishing report 6.28.10

Walleye:
Walleye fishing is still kind of tough.  My gut feeling is we're into
that two week time of year where there's so much natural forage that until it gets thinned out things will remain tough.  I see this happen around this time of year every year.

Muskie:
Still looking mostly at bucktails.  Warmer water should change that a
little.

Crappie:
Crappie fishing not bad on the cribs and especially on the bogs on
minnows.

Panfish:

Bluegill are still being caught in the shallows on waxies--they've got
to be close to heading deeper.

Bass:
Bass fishing is unusually slow--I wonder if all of the thunder,
lightening and wind of the last week have put them down.

Weather report

A really nice week coming up--low 70's and sunny.

Water level

They've had to let a little water out the lake was getting so high.
Current pool level is 1312.8--high enough to have a lot of piers under the water!!!

Water temperature

Water temps are back in the low 70's.

Weather report

It keeps on changing! Looks nice on Mon and Tues with a chance of rain on Wed.  Temps will be in the low 80's.

Water level

Still pretty good:  1312.6--darn near full.

Water temperature

Temps are starting to sneak up there--pushing 75.
