•   Kettle Moraine State Forest—Northern Unit, Campbellsport, (920) 533-8322 or e-mail - Nature Storytime: Blowing Winds. Spring winds blow away the last of winter's cold and snow. Have some fun as we learn why the wind blows and what's blown by the wind. This hour of nature fun awaits 3- to 6-year-olds with accompanying adults. Ice Age Visitor Center. 9:30-10:30 a.m.

•   Amnicon Falls State Park, Superior, (715) 398-3000 - Candlelight Hike/Snowshoe. Walk from the office to the covered bridge and around the island at Amnicon Falls State Park. There will be a bonfire with s'mores, cookies, and hot chocolate. If there is enough snow, some snowshoes will be available, otherwise the event will be for hiking only. 7-8:30 p.m.
•   Havenwoods State Forest, Milwaukee, (414) 527-0232 or e-mail - Family Hike: Wetland Walk. Check out the ponds for ducks, geese, and other signs of returning wildlife. Wear boots or shoes that can get wet or muddy. New in 2009! Spend an hour on a family-friendly hike through Havenwoods. We'll use magnifiers, binoculars, and super-duper outdoor lookers to spend the morning in nature. 10:30-11:30 a.m. No admission sticker required.
•   Richard Bong State Recreation Area, Kansasville, (262) 878-5600 - Ready For Robin? Robins are some of our first migrants. Are you ready to welcome them to your yard? Come and learn some fun facts about these familiar neighbors. You can also build a robin nesting platform to take home for only $5. Visitor Center. 1-2 p.m.

•   Havenwoods State Forest, Milwaukee, (414) 527-0232 or e-mail - Preschool Storytime: Opossums. Opossums are hiding out in our neighborhoods. Learn what's special about these pink-toed mammals. This program is for preschoolers, ages 3-5, and their parents, grandparents, or other adult, not for day care centers or organizations. 9:30-10:30 a.m. No admission sticker required.

•   Interstate State Park, St. Croix Falls, (715) 483-3747 or e-mail - Nature Storytime. Storytime generally lasts 30 to 45 minutes, depending on the participants. Participants will spend time indoors and outdoors, weather permitting, so parents should dress their children accordingly. 10 a.m.

Then this program is a must for you! Tom Koeppen and friends from the Northeast Wisconsin Paddlers will introduce to the sport of kayaking. They will cover what gear and skills are needed, where to go kayaking and how to connect with classes and kayaking groups. This program is most appropriate for people over the age of 10 years. Ice Age Visitor Center. 7-8:30 p.m.
