Minocqua area fishing report 11.9.11

Musky:  Good-Fair.  Action slowing even more as waters continue to slowly cool.  Suckers over 20-30' best bet.  Rubber baits counted down.  Work hard bottom areas with slow moving glide baits.

Walleye:  fair.  Deep lakes, anglers finding walleyes from 22-53' deep.  Heavy jigs, Lindy rigs with chubs, suckers.  Also vertical jigging spoons such as Pimples tipped with Gulp alive waxies catching the deepest of fish.  On lakes with less than 25' max depth, light jigs tipped with fatheads or the same bait under a slip-float after dark.

Water temps slowly working down to 38-44 degrees, but should drop quicker with snow and teen temps at night this week.  Season winding down, still three weeks of Musky left.  Big fish time.
