Chippewa Flowage Fishing report 8.3.11

Weather report

Sounds like it's going to be a little warm this week--mid 80's.  So far
just scattered episodes of showers.

Water temperature

Getting warm--back up around 80--watch your minnows!!!

Water level

Enough weather systems going through to keep it at about a foot down.

Walleye:
Walleye fishing is still spotty.  At least the ones that are being
caught are pretty good fish

Muskie:
Kind of in between.  Some people are complaining while others seem to have no problem seeing fish......there was a 53 caught the other day on a jerk bait.

Northern:
Seems to be mostly smaller ones hitting right now.  Maybe the better ones are deeper???

Crappie:
Crappie fishing is still decent.  Still on the cribs and bogs.

Panfish:
Bluegill fishing hasn't changed much.  Take a worm and find a weed or a
stump.  But the bigger ones are deeper.

Bass:
Largemouth ok but the smallmouth are better.  Still on nightcrawlers.
