Jenks Fishing Report - Wednesday, July 13, 2011

Chippewa Flowage Fishing report 7.13.11

Walleye:

Some walleyes being caught--no change--crawlers and leechs are better in deeper water.

Muskie:

The muskie have been a little sluggish.  My guess is because of the warm temps and really warm water temps.  Hopefully a weather change will perk them up.

Northern:
Still best on spinnerbaits on the west side.

Crappie:
The crappie fishing is getting pretty good in the evening on the
bogs--especially bogs that are over deeper water.  Use minnows.

Panfish:
Blueill are still very catchable everywhere.  Use worms or waxies.

Bass:
Largemouth is decent on the west side; smallmouth is pretty good on nightcrawlers on the east side.

Weather report

Pleasant but a little wet for a couple of days and then clear and HOT for the weekend.

Water temperature

It was up into the low 80's with the hot weather over the past few days but it should cool down a little now with the nights going down to the upper 40's.

Water level

Looks like the summer drawdown is starting.  The lake is at 1311.8.
That's ok--it's still at a decent level.
