Chippewa Flowage fishing report 8.3.10

Walleye:
Some walleyes being caught.  Stick to crawlers and leechs in the deeper water.

Muskie:
Muskie action sounds like it's improving a little--surface baits and
bucktails are still best.

Northern:

Northern action not bad--fish spinnerbaits or big minnows on the weed edges.

Crappie:
Crappie action a little more spotty but it's still basically crib and
bog action.  Gulp minnows have been hot.

Panfish:
Best bluegill are on the cribs and sunken bogs on worms.

Bass:

Smallmouth action on the east side on crawlers has improved a little.

Weather forecast

Nice week coming in the upper 70's with a chance of rain on Fri.

Water level

Lake still holding at 1312.6-------until they read it tomorrow. We had another 3 inchs of rain yesterday.

Water Temperature

Water is holding in the upper 70's.

Walleye stocking

Make sure you stop by and get your walleye pin:  they're only $5.00, they look nice and it all goes to walleye stocking in the Chip.
