Chippewa Flowage fishing report - Thursday, May 24, 2010

Walleye:
I'm still not hearing a whole lot.  That must mean it's not very
exciting.  It's still minnows deep but as the water warms up they'll
start going over to crawlers.

Northern:
Northern fishing is still pretty good on minnows around the weeds.

Crappie:
The crappie fishing is still really good but they've got to be getting
pretty close to being done.  Sounds like more males are being caught.

Panfish:
REAL GOOD.  And the bigger ones are starting to show up. Waxies and Gulp
are the best.

Weather report

A warm week ahead--in the upper 80's--with a chance of scattered
thunderstorms every day--at least through Thursday.

Water level

Can't seem to gain any ground.  The pool level is holding at 1311.2.

Water temperature

Water temps are right about at 70 but those are sure to be going up this
week.
