Duck hunting opens at 9 a.m. Sept. 27 in the northern zone and 9 a.m. Oct. 4 in the southern zone. A special hunt for youths 12 to 15 is scheduled for Saturday and Sept. 21.

Statewide, the daily bag limit is six ducks, including four mallards (of which only one may be a hen), three wood ducks, two redheads, one black duck and one pintail. There is no hunting for canvasback.

The scaup (bluebill) bag limit is one in the northern zone, except for the period Oct. 18 to Nov. 6, when it will be two. Duck hunting ends Nov. 25 in the zone.
