BHS Trap Team......Not Done Yet!

Hello All!
Well the BHS Demons Trap Team after coming off its National Championship win in Sparta Ill. at the SCTP National (American Style) Championships had only one more tournament.......The SCTP National (Olympic Style) Championships held in Colorado Springs, Colorado at the Olympic Training Center (Fort Carson Military Base)!

The Demons team was represented by 11 athletes (Ethan Kerr, Hunter Wondrash, Cody Joerndt, Jordan Hintz, Myles Walker, Christian Jensen, Alexa McCarthy, Mariah Kerr, Cody McCarthy, Hunter Conrad & Jarod Hahn) and escorted by Coach Tom Wondrash.....And they would not be denied!
Most of these athletes have NOT ever competed (or practiced) in the Olympic style clay target games....until now! And they took to it like a fish to water!

Here are the results of the Burlington Team:

International Skeet,
Boys Intermediate...2nd Place....Cody McCarthy
Senior Squad......3rd Place......BHS Demons (Christian Jensen, Ethan Kerr, Jordan Hintz)

International Trap
Ladies Intermediate....1st Place.....Alexa McCarthy

Intermediate Squad....3rd Place.....BHS Demons (Alexa McCarthy, Cody McCarthy, Jarod Hahn)

International Doubles Trap
Boys Senior.....3rd Place.....Ethan Kerr

Senior Squad.......1st Place......BHS Demons (Ethan Kerr, Hunter Wondrash, Jordan Hintz) Probably the biggest shock of the tournament!!!!!
Senior Squad.......3rd Place......BHS Demons (Myles Walker, Cody Joerndt, Christian Jensen)

Match Finals for International Doubles found Jordan Hintz taking 2nd Place overall! Of the 6 competitors in the Match finals, 3 were from Burlington including Jordan Hintz, Ethan Kerr and Myles Walker!

So.....Not only did the BHS Demons win the National Championship in Trap @ Sparta.....They came away with the National Championship in International Doubles as well!

just a side note.....NONE of these kids had ever shot International Doubles before.....The quote of the day from graduating senior Hunter Wondrash...."Dad, where has this game been all my life?" with a great big smile! Competing in his finale SCTP National Championship Tournament representing the BHS Demons Trap Team,  Hunter shot well and  helped his teammates Kerr & Hintz handily win the International Doubles Championship Title!

The Demons also took 1st Place in the High Over All (HOA) category. That means that they broke enough targets in 2 disciplines to win!

All the athletes represented Burlington Wisconsin in a top notch fashion and we all should be very proud of this very special group of kids!

I cant say enough about the strength and determination of this team, its coaches & its parents! I am a very proud daddy of ALL these athletes.......Just an fyi, the city of Burlington is planning a parade Sunday, August 14th through downtown Burlington ( I believe at about 9:00am) recognizing the achievements of this team. Ending up at the Burlington Conservation club with a city proclamation to be read by the mayor of Burlington and to be attended by many other state representatives!

If you need any additional information, please contact me at phone number below.....I have attached the complete results from the tournament which was represented by 15 states!

Respectfully Submitted (in the absence of Perry Hintz, his son Jordan is competing in the Junior Olympics as we speak),
