BHS Demons trap shooters - Pheasant Hunting Trip to South Dakota
Some of the kids from the BHS Demons trap shooting team & members of the Scholastic Clay Target Program (SCTP) enjoyed some time off and Pheasant hunting in South Dakota this past week, Oct. 16-21! Their trap shooting practice & skills sure paid off on this hunting trip as these youth definitely let the Pheasants know they were there!! Their safety, poise, determination & patience made for a memorable 2010 hunt!
Holding their limits if birds in 1 drive are, Cody Schilz, Ethan Kerr, Christian Jensen & Hunter Wondrash. They all had a great time and met some wonderful people in South Dakota. They were assisted by several coaches including Head Coach Tom Wondrash & assistant coaches Chuck Meisner & Dale Burright along with several members of the Burlington Conservation Club.
Thanks to Pat & Ralph Kulm of Selby South Dakota for the opportunity to let these kids and families/friends hunt on their property. Its people like them that will help us keep our youth in the shooting/hunting sports!! Folks, this is what its all about........
And if anyone ever tells you that Pheasants dont sit in trees......well, here is proof! We had to make them pose for the picture, but they didnt want to!! lol
