Post by: mudbrook on May 28, 2010, 09:30:43 AM

All Burnett County State-funded Summer Use ATV Trails are currently OPEN! All other trails are closed to ATVs and UTVs. See the summer use ATV trail map for trail locations.  You can find trail maps at many local businesses and also on our website, (www.burnettcounty.com).

Burnett County is participating in a 2-year pilot program for UTV use.  You may now operate your registered ATVs and UTVs on State-funded Summer Use Trails.  Only machines meeting the state definition of an ATV or UTV are allowed on these trails.  (State definitions are on our website under Forest & Parks ? Recreation ? ATV Trails - "Trail Rules, Maps, and Licensing Information".)  This UTV pilot program is scheduled to end June 30, 2012.

You may register your ATVs & UTVs by going to the regional DNR office in Spooner, (715-635-2012), The Main Store in Webb Lake, and also by mail, (allow 4-8 weeks).

Always be sure to respect private property and ride safely.

If you need any maps, or if you need any other information, please contact Burnett County Tourism at 1-800-788-3164 or feel free to email them at  Bctour@sirentel.net.
