Question for Turkey hunters

I recently moved out in the country and have noticed an abundance of turkey and pheasants on my land my question is will they still be here when the seasons opens or will they move on? This will be my first year hunting turkey so Im very inexperienced. Any help in this matter would be greatly appreciated. Jimi
