ELMWOOD - A Durand man reportedly saw two Cougars just outside of Elmwood Thursday morning.

In a news tip emailed to the Herald, the man reportedly spotted on the edge on town on county road P just south of town.

The mother and it's cub crossed the road around sunrise (7:30) and walked down into Butternut Park. The cub was also spotted by an apartment building on the south side of town.

Cougars have been sighted and their tracks have been found in southeastern St. Croix and eastern Pierce County over the past year.
