Scholastic Pistol Program Wisconsin State Championship

Muskego, WI ? On June 14th Schultz Resort Rod and Gun Club will be host to five Wisconsin High School teams and three Wisconsin College teams competing in the first ever Scholastic Pistol Program State Championship.  Consisting of four different pistol shooting stages, Wisconsin high school and college teams will compete against each other in this sporting event where speed and accuracy are essential for victory. Athletes age from 12 to 23 and are split between a junior, senior, and collegiate division. Squads comprise of four athletes, each required to shoot steel targets set at various distances for each of the four timed stages throughout the range.

Organized by Wisconsin SPP State Advisor, Jeremy Krusemark of Burlington, this competition looks to be one of the first in the region. The Scholastic Pistol Program began in July 2012 and has since gained much attention in the Southern Wisconsin area.

Over 70 athletes from Burlington High School, Union Grove High School, Wilmot High School, Ozaukee County area high schools, Lake County Action Shooters, Southwest Technical College, UW Platteville, and MATC Oak Creek will be attending the match. A Wisconsin Collegiate and High School State Champion will be named based on the overall times recorded at the match.

This event is open to the public with concessions and basket raffle available. The event will begin at 10am on June 14th at Schultz Resort Rod and Gun Club, W146 S8025 Schultz Lane, Muskego, WI  53150. For more information, contact Jeremy at wisconsinspp@wi.rr.com.
