Annual Broadhead shoot, Labor Day Weekend
« on: August 27, 2009, 07:29:28 PM »
Each year, the Wisconsin Bowhunters Association holds it's Annual Broadhead shoot at Kennedy Park in New Lisbon, WI. Each year, it's held the weekend prior to the archery season opener. This year, it falls on Labor Day Weekend. It's only open to members but this year we are kicking off a promotion that may interest you. By signing up, you are entered into the drawings for a Mathews Reezen, A Tennessee Wild Boar hunt and a North Dakota Mule deer or Whitetail hunt.

If you're interested in attending the Broadhead shoot, check out this link from last years event.

Last year, we kicked off the Ultimate Broadhead Challenge novelty shoot. Rather than trying to explain, here is a link with pictures.

If you plan to come out and attend, make sure to bring along an extra head or two and stop by the Ultimate Broadhead Challenge. We have some great prizes for the winner and we are just about to add two more prizes to sweeten the pot. If you want to see what took place at last year's challenge. Check out the pics at this link.

Last year, there were folks that wanted to participate but they did not have an extra head to spare. I hope we got the word out to people but just in case, I have gone through my stash of spare heads and put together what will hopefully suffice for those that did not plan ahead. I will have a variety of newer and older heads on hand. It seemed that thunder heads were the most popular at last years shoot so I have a half dozen ready as well as Spitfires, Muzzy, Razorcap etc.

There are several reasons to attend this year's event, especially if you're not currently a member. I hope you consider attending.

Here is a link to the event.

Just a reminder. This year's Ultimate Broadhead Challenge will change the distances to 35 and 20 yards with the shoot off being at 45 and 25 yards. Last years distances were 40 and 25 with the shoot off held at 50 and 30.

We have an additional, last minute prize thanks to the folks at Sherwood Forest Bowmen in Sussex for agreeing to use the funds I raised with my chronograph to purchase a broadhead target as an additional prize for the winner of the challenge. We are still working on another prize but here is the list so far.

Half Dozen new broadheads, you pick from a variety of choices on hand (Donated by Jeff Mueller at Badgerland archery)
