CLEVELAND, Wis. – Charter captains and interested citizens and stakeholders are invited to a Lake Michigan fisheries meeting on March 16 from 6 to 8 p.m. hosted by the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources at Lakeshore Technical College to discuss critical Lake Michigan ecosystem information.
The meeting, which is expected to include charter boat captains from ports along Lake Michigan, will cover the current status of the fishery. Key topics include forage survey data, stocking and harvest updates, predator-prey ratios and aquatic invasive species. The meeting also will cover charter licensing and reporting information, an update on the Kettle Moraine Springs Fish Hatchery and upcoming opportunities for stakeholder involvement.
