Explore Minnesota Birding Report Update  March 11, 2013

The month of March marks the beginning of the spring migration, particularly for waterfowl. March also brings with it a number of wonderful birding events and field trips to kick-off the season. One such event is SOAR with the Eagles which is offered Saturdays and Sundays, March 2-17, at the National Eagle Center in Wabasha. SOAR with the Eagles offers special events, guest presenters, artists, exhibitors, a raffle and more. To learn of other birding weekends, visit the Minnesota Birding Weekends site. Birders will also want to consider the MOU Field Trip to Rice County on Saturday, March 23, to view early waterfowl migrants at Wells Lake.
