I had an invitation to go to a birthday party and an ice-fishing trip Sunday. I could attend neither because my youngest son had an ear infection and the sub-zero temperatures prevented both.

No problem, I thought, I can tell my son Blake some stories, put on "Willy Wonka" for him to watch while I watched the playoffs. My low-carb diet fits in well for Packers football: buffalo wings, pork rinds and plenty of venison sausage and cheese.
