Assembly needs nudge on secretary bill

FOR THOSE who would like to make a difference in protecting Wisconsin’s natural resources, it’s time to get on the computer or grab your cell phone because some lawmakers need a little nudge.
Since former Gov. Tommy Thompson got into power-play mode in 1995, ending a 67-year policy of having the Department of Natural Resources’s (DNR) secretary appointed by a citizen-run board, we’ve seen more turnover of top staff and more politics in management decisions.
